The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the city.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to begin their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.

Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the events of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the party understands precisely where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The antagonist then settled his debts and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, desires revenge.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group access areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them few options but to head to the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we discover that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the other eight players to form the Seekers and Planners tables.

Audiences can anticipate learning which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
